Hi, I’m Taylor!
I create and deliver impactful learning experiences that are effective, enjoyable, and well-evaluated.
I’ve been working at the intersections of education and health for over 15 years on the territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, colonially known as Vancouver Island, Canada.
Through facilitating workshops on sexual health, substance use, and LGBTQ2S+ cultural safety at a non-profit organization, I realized that creating and facilitating learning experiences is, to borrow from Vicki Reynolds, “the best use of me.” For me, learning is a central part of a meaningful life. The only thing I love more than facilitating education is designing it – and continually honing my ability to create effective learning experiences.
I completed my Masters in Adult Education with a focus on Instructional Design through the University of New Brunswick in December of 2021. My Masters refined the skills I had developed through experience and gave my practice a stronger foundation in research about how adults learn.
I’ve worked with universities, health organizations, research projects, and non-profits to create and deliver accessible learning experiences for a variety of learners, and many of my projects have been connected to research.
I believe that good learning design draws on theory and evidence to truly support people to learn. So many types of education can be used to make our world a better place, and I hope that my work can do just that.
Thanks for stopping by!
With Kindness,
Taylor
